Privacy Policy
Effective from 16 October 2026.
This policy explains what data the RenoFolio mobile app (“the app”) and the renofolioapp.com website collect, why, where it is stored and what your rights are. We try to collect only what the app needs to work.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is the developer of the RenoFolio app. For anything related to your data, write to d.applications.mobile@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
Account
- the email address and password you sign in with (the password is stored only as an encrypted hash; nobody knows what it is),
- technical account data: creation date, last sign-in date, account identifier.
Content you add yourself
- your renovations and everything you save in them: budget, currency, expenses, products, labour and services, tasks, dates and reminders, measurements, notes,
- details of shops and contractors you enter (e.g. name, phone number, address),
- photos and files: receipts, invoices, plans, quotes, contracts, product and inspiration photos, and links.
You don’t have to enter anyone else’s details. If you save a contractor’s phone number, it is for your own use and you decide what goes in.
Data on your phone
The app keeps a copy of your renovations on your phone so it also works offline. Reminders (e.g. for a date or a warranty ending) are scheduled locally on the phone. Settings such as the chosen language are also stored on the device.
Permissions
- Camera – only when you take a photo in the app,
- Photos and files – only the ones you pick,
- Notifications – for reminders you set.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your phone’s settings.
What we don’t do
The app shows no ads, uses no analytics or tracking tools, and does not access your location or your phone’s contacts. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- creating and running your account, saving renovations, photos and files to the cloud and syncing them across devices – to provide the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR),
- keeping the service secure and preventing abuse, including storage limits – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR),
- answering messages sent to support – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Where data is stored and who helps us
- Supabase – provider of the database, sign-in and file storage. Account data, renovations, photos and files are stored on servers in the European Union (Ireland). Each account can access only its own data, and files are kept in private storage.
- Expo – the service that delivers app updates. When checking for updates, the phone sends basic technical data (e.g. IP address, operating system and app version), without the content of your renovations.
- Google Play and the App Store – the stores you download the app from process data under their own privacy policies.
- Vercel – hosting for this website. The server keeps standard logs (e.g. IP address, browser) for technical and security purposes.
Where any of these providers processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is done under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or another safeguard provided for by the GDPR.
5. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete a renovation, photo or file, it is removed from the cloud. When you delete your account, we delete the account data, renovations, photos and files without undue delay. Our provider’s backups may hold them for a short time (up to 30 days) before they are overwritten. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself in the app: in the account window, tap “Delete account” (below “Sign out”) and confirm. All renovations, photos and files saved in the cloud are deleted together with the account. You can also email us at d.applications.mobile@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and we will delete it for you.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it,
- have your data corrected,
- have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”),
- restrict processing,
- data portability,
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest,
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw), or the authority in your country.
To exercise these rights, write to d.applications.mobile@gmail.com.
8. Security
Connections between the app and the server are encrypted (HTTPS). Access is restricted so that each account sees only its own renovations and files. No system is completely immune to attacks, so please use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else.
9. Website and cookies
renofolioapp.com does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We only store one essential cookie with the language you chose for the site.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when new features are added to the app. The current version is always available on this page, and we will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
11. Contact
Send privacy questions to d.applications.mobile@gmail.com.
